Alexander Gerdes
Thanks to his many years of experience in testing institutes and consulting companies, Alexander Gerdes has extensive know-how in all areas of product compliance management. His in-depth knowledge covers a wide range of non-food consumer goods (e.g. radio and electrical products, toys, personal protective equipment, household products, clothing, decorative items, furniture, tools) as well as machinery and construction products. He has extensive technical expertise and is very familiar with the complex legal requirements and the applicable harmonized standards and technical specifications for implementation.
Alexander Gerdes supports and advises our customers in the preparation of test plans, the review of product compliance documents (e.g. test reports, certificates, safety data sheets, etc.), the performance of risk analyses, the preparation of declarations of conformity and the review of packaging and product labeling as well as operating instructions. In addition, he takes on operational activities for our customers as part of the outsourced product compliance department and conducts workshops, training courses and webinars.
Before joining trinasco GmbH, Alexander Gerdes was Regulatory Affairs Manager and Market Compliance Specialist at Hansecontrol (now Qima), a leading international testing and certification company. Prior to this, he was Quality Manager and Marketability Auditor at a renowned consultancy firm for product compliance and product safety and successfully completed further training to become a Quality Management Representative.
